Wesley Hall

The Basics

Located on the north side of campus, Wesley Hall is the largest residence hall on campus, housing up to 460 students. This is a traditional-style residence hall with double-occupancy rooms and community bathrooms. Although Wesley Hall houses primarily first-year students, some returning students may be assigned to Wesley Hall during the returning student Room Selection Process.

Room Furnishings

Per Student:

  • XL twin size bed (80" x 36")
  • May be bunked or placed as individuals 
  • Desk and desk chair
  • Bookcase/shelf
  • Chest of drawers (three-drawer unit)
  • Closet

Per Room:

  • Cable TV hookup
  • Mini blinds

Building your own loft is prohibited. All College furniture must remain in the room throughout the entire academic year.

Students in Wesley Hall must select 1 of 3 Residence Hall Block Plans. Please see the Dining Services page for more information.

Albion College cleans community restrooms and common areas (lounges, kitchenettes, etc.)

Internet Access

Wesley Hall has wireless access throughout the building. Wired connections are available upon request (submit work order request to the Helpdesk to be connected).

Key Access

Wesley Hall is set up on a card system that allowed students to use their Albion1Card as a key to their residential building as well as their individual room.

Community Living Staff

Area Coordinator  (AC)

  • A full-time professional staff member hired through the Office of Residential Life lives on the first floor of Wesley Hall year round.

Resident Assistant (RA)

  • An upper-class student leader hired through the Office of Community Living
  • Each wing houses one RA (RA to student ratio 1:31)

Smoking Policy

Wesley Hall is a smoke-free facility. For more information about our Smoking Policy, please see page 82 in our 2017-2018 Student Handbook.

Wesley Hall has one emergency telephone location that is a direct line to Campus Safety:

Room Sign Up Requirements (First-Year and Transfers)

New students will complete a housing request form in their SLATE Student Portal. Mutual roommate requests will be honored as space permits. Housing assignments for Wesley are completed in May and June. Every attempt is made to have them done by SOAR if you meet the May 1 deadline.

Special Interest Housing

Each year, Wesley Hall will offer Special Interest/Theme floors dependent on the number of incoming first-year student that request them. You will be able to select one or more of these as your preference when you complete your Housing Request Form. Please be aware that selecting a Theme Floor on your Housing Request Form is only a preference and we cannot guarantee that you will be assigned to that specific floor/area.

  • Possible theme housing by program/institute
