Sherry Penney, '59, Brings 'Next Generation Leadership'

Distinguished Albion alumni Sherry Penney, '59, shares her expertise on "Next Generation Leadership" with a presentation Wednesday, March 20, at 7 p.m. in Norris Science Center Room 104. Penney's visit to Albion is a highlight event of the College's Women's History month celebration.

Penney is professor emerita of the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB). Her academic research and professional experience have made her a noted expert on 21st-century and women's leadership. She currently holds the Sherry H. Penney Professorship in Leadership in the UMB College of Management and was the founding director for its center for Collaborative Leadership. Penney also served as chancellor and professor of American Studies and interim president for UMB. She has also held executive positions within the State University of New York and at Yale University. She was recognized as an Albion College Distinguished Alumna in 1978, just 19 years after graduating.
