Ibsen's classic Hedda Gabler comes to Albion College Theatre Thursday, November 15 through Sunday November 18, in the Herrick Auditorium, part of the Dow Recreation Center complex. Curtain time is 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee. The production is directed by Kamara Miller, '13.
Hailed as a model of 19th-century realism, Hedda Gabler traces the effect of love, jealousy, competition and desire among the lives of its characters. It has been performed countless times around the world since its 1891 premiere. Interpretations of Hedda include portrayals of her as feminist, a victim of circumstance and a villain.
