Award-Winning Journalist Shares Eating Disorder Journey

Journalist and novelist Marya Hornbacher shares her story of anorexia with the Albion community Thursday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Albion College Norris Science Center Towsley Hall.

Hornbacher has written two bestselling memoirs: "Wasted: A Memoir of Anorexia and Bulimia" and "Madness: a Bipolar Life." She also wrote the novel "The Center of Winter" and two books geared toward recovering from addiction and mental illness. Hornbacher was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in nonfiction for "Wasted," which has been published in 16 languages and is a standard text in the study of eating disorders. Hornbacher is on the faculty of Northwestern University teaching English and writing.
