New Ethnic Studies Professor Brings Albion College, The Philadelphia Center Even Closer Together

The dual tenure-track appointment of Dr. Jeana E. Morrison continues Albion’s focus on innovating the liberal arts college experience of today and tomorrow. Morrison, whose research focuses on higher education access, equity and policy and the educational experiences of underrepresented students, joins Albion and TPC as assistant professor of ethnic studies and director of academic innovation, effective August 1. She will be based in Philadelphia and visit Albion each semester.

German Professor Perry Myers Receives Fellowship for Research in France

Albion College German professor Perry Myers left investment banking for education and loves his job teaching college students. But he's giving it up—temporarily—to spend a year in Paris, thanks to a prestigious research fellowship to the Institut d'Études Avancées de Paris for the 2020-21 academic year.

Marceline Redick, '20, Wins Statewide Award for Study in France

For the second time in three years, an Albion College student has won the statewide competition for a study-abroad scholarship from the French-American Chamber of Commerce, Michigan (FACCM). Marceline Redick, '20, will use the FACC-Michigan French Business Scholarship: Le Détroit Award for study at the Université Stendhal-Grenoble this coming fall.
