It is a place where you can connect with students who share your intellectual curiosities. Albion has given me a wide range of knowledge and has really allowed me to shape my education in ways that are truly mine. I was able to be a member of Albion's Fed Challenge teams in 2011, '12, and '13. Our 2011 team went to Nationals in Washington D.C. and went up against teams from Harvard, Rutgers and North Carolina-Chapel Hill. The highlight of this final round of competition was the opportunity to meet several leaders of the Fed including Ben Bernanke, the former Federal Reserve chairman. I was a teaching assistant in E&M for economics, past president of the Macroeconomics Club, and worked closely with the department’s staff and faculty to create a new marketing brochure for future students.
I appreciated the careful feedback faculty provided on research projects and papers. The personal relationships that were created with the faculty were incredible.
…has provided good networking opportunities for finding a career.
