In a nutshell, what do you do?

I work to develop ways to attract and retain businesses, support entrepreneurs, redevelop brownfield sites, market properties, and develop incentive packages for potential developers. Right now, that entails streamlining and clarifying processes in Albion regarding permitting, applying for grants, and more to increase "speed to market" for developers and businesses.

Why do you love what you do?

I love what I do because it is exciting when you can help a developer secure anywhere from tens of thousands to over a million dollars in funding to bring in new investment in Albion that creates jobs, supports the community, and breathes new life into formerly blighted or vacant spaces. It is great when you can see the result of your work after months or even years of behind-the-scenes work.

How did Albion help you get there?

Albion helped me get where I want to be just by connecting me with the right people and supporting my desire to make an impact in the community. Albion showed me how I could best use my talent and identify how I could pursue what I'm most passionate about - and even make a living doing it.

For me, Albion ...

... has been a place to experiment with where I want to go professionally. If it weren't for the internships that I was connected with, I would never have had the chance to really figure out what fits me best. Albion has been the place that has sparked and directed my personal and professional growth to launch me into my career right after graduation..
