“When people come in to a tax situation, it’s stressful,” says Albion College junior Maggie Troost, who will spend some 80 hours this spring working with the College’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. “I feel like we can show people they don’t have to be stressed out, because we can relax and not only talk about taxes.”

"I certainly wasn't expecting to be given the level of responsibility I currently have as an intern," says Lucas Harder, '18, about his internship with Lawrence Evans & Co., a boutique investment bank in Columbus, Ohio. "This plunge into investment banking has forced me to both learn and grow quickly." The finance major with a Gerstacker Institute concentration (pictured at left with his supervisor, Neil Johnson, '98) was a Scholar All-American last year for the Albion swimming and diving team.
