In Repatriation Ceremony, Albion College Returns Mayan Urn to Mexico

The 500-year-old artifact was given to the College as a gift in 2003. It will join what experts have concluded is its twin in a museum in the Chiapas region following a formal repatriation ceremony April 13 in Goodrich Chapel.

Rebecca Wagener, '21, Brings Context to Recent Gift of South American Artifacts

Matthew Schoene, New Director of First-Year Seminars, Describes Their 'Powerful Opportunity'

Dr. Matthew Schoene, assistant professor of sociology, was recently named director of Albion College's First-Year Seminars program, a core part of the William Atwell Brown, Jr., and Mary Brown Vacin First-Year Experience (FYE), beginning with the 2020-21 academic year. Even as he spent much of the prior two months shifting from on-campus to online instruction, Schoene is looking forward to this next challenge.
