Many students have been asking questions about rental textbook return. Here are the instructions from the Albion College Bookstore. Please contact them with any questions.
Rental textbooks are due back to the bookstore no later than April 29, 2020, which is the original due date listed in this semester's rental agreements signed by the customer at the time of rental. Students who remain on campus can return these books at any time during regular business hours as currently, there is no plan for the bookstore's operational hours to change:
Students who are leaving campus and still need their textbooks are welcome to take the books with them. An email will be automatically sent a couple of weeks before the rented books are due as a reminder to the email address given at the time the rental agreement was signed. Within that email is a link to print a pre-paid shipping label for the customer to ship the books back to the bookstore. Students should include inside their package identifying information (name, email address, and telephone number) so that their books may be clearly identified to their rental account.
Books shipped back to the bookstore MUST be received by the April 29th deadline and not in transit via UPS to ensure charges are not assessed. The bookstore will be able to reverse any replacement cost charges that may be assessed for books that end up in transit by the deadline, but there will be an administrative fee for late books that CANNOT be reversed, so it is important that books are received in the store on time.
