In her piece in the July 26 edition of The Detroit News, Carrie Booth Walling, associate professor of political science and department chair, writes that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization "continues to be a wise investment for U.S. national security." Walling is author of All Necessary Measures: The United Nations and Humanitarian Intervention (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2013).
