Following my time at Albion I interned for the Dayne Walling for Mayor of Flint campaign and helped see him to his first electoral victory. I then moved to Austin, TX where I was working for Apple, inc. in their Customer Relations department working primarily on customer retention issues. It was here I would get the idea to open a food truck in Flint, MI if I ever found myself in the area again. In 2011, I moved back to the Flint area where I then worked in the non-profit sector as a volunteer coordinator for social welfare recipients to help them meet their obligations for the program. In 2013, I applied for and received a grant through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation which would launch my business Vehicle City Tacos. Today, I manage the business and use my liberal arts education to help navigate the local business world. Vehicle City Tacos currently employs ten people and continues to consistently grow in popularity.
