Modern Languages and Cultures 2019-2020 Events

Join Us for the French Cinema Festival in November at Albion's Historic Bohm Theatre

To encourage our educational and cultural relationship with our Sister Cities in France (Noisy-le-Roi and Bailly),
we will be screening French Cinema and French-related films for the month of November.  The screenings will be matinees on Fridays and Saturdays.  They are FREE and open to the public.

Annual International Dinner

Upper Baldwin

The I-Space and the Modern Languages and Cultures Department wish to invite the Albion College community to the Annual International Dinner, which will feature a delicious, specially prepared selection of German, French, Mexican, Spanish and Japanese cuisine. You can eat any time in Lower Baldwin from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m, or pick up your tray downstairs and carry it upstairs and join us at 6:00 p.m. for a short program by our Native Speaker Teaching Assistants. Upper Baldwin will be festively decorated for this special dinner.

Annual Holiday Celebration

All language students are invited to attend this traditional end-of-the-year department event. Follow along with the words in the program or join in as you hear holiday songs in French, German and Spanish performed by fellow students. Learn about the Christmas stories and customs that are retold and celebrated where these languages are spoken. Treat yourself to a buffet of desserts and snacks provided by the faculty and staff of the Modern Languages and Cultures Department.

A Mega Cultural Event

The Native Speaker Teaching Assistants are in the process of creating this year's Mega Cultural Event.  There will be interactive games, food, music, chances to win prizes, all while absorbing a little culture from France, Germany and Costa Rica.  Free and open to the public.
