Stabenow Chief of Staff Bill Sweeney, '98, Visits Ford Institute to Talk Partisanship

"Partisanship in Washington: Is It Worse Than Ever Before?" is the debate at hand for Albion alumnus Bill Sweeney, '98, chief of staff for U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow. Sweeney will discuss this issue Wednesday, October 29, at 7 p.m. in Albion College's Bobbitt Visual Arts Center, as a guest of the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service.

A native of metro Detroit, Sweeney has been a key member of Stabenow’s team since her campaign for the Senate in 2000. Prior to that, Sweeney worked on several municipal, congressional, and statewide campaigns. During his presentation, Sweeney will share his pathway to his current position, and give his perspective on partisanship and its influence on federal legislators.
