The Economics and Management Department offers a flexible program that provides students with the tools and understanding to make judgments and choices in many areas of economic interest. Students are taught the basic skills of economics and business, with a focus on decision-making in both the private and public sectors. The department offers an eight-unit major, a ten-unit major with emphasis (emphases in accounting, economics, finance, general business, or human resources), and three minors. The department also supports the Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management and the interdepartmental majors in mathematics/economics, public policy and social studies.
