J. Donald Sheets graduated from Albion College in 1982. Upon graduation, Don began his professional career at Dow Corning Corporation while continuing his studies at University of Michigan earning an MBA in Operations Management. Don's 34-year career with Dow Corning has included professional roles in accounting, finance, marketing and management. After more than 13 years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he became Vice Chairman in June 2016.
Don serves as a director of Wolverine Bank; a director of MidMichigan Health System; a director of Tri-Star Trust Bank; a director of Business Leaders for Michigan; and a director of the Midland Center for the Arts.
His Albion College involvement includes service on the Board of Trustees (2006-present, chairman of the board 2013-2020) and with Sigma Chi (honored as a "Significant Sig" in 2012).
Don and his wife, Angela (Scott) Sheets, ’82, share a passion for serving organizations in which their efforts can make a lasting impact. They have two sons, J.D. and Andrew, and live in Midland, Michigan.
