Ages 7-9
Kids will design video games with exciting challenges, innovative gameplay, and fun characters using Kodu from Microsoft. Kids will play each other's games, offering compliments, suggestions, and encouragement along the way. Video games created in this camp will be saved on a complimentary USB drive, to share with friends and family, and all video games are playable on Windows computers.

Ages 7-9
Kids apply engineering principles by building animal-themed robots with Lego WeDo technology, code using basic visual programming, and gain an understanding of environmental science by bringing their LEGO animal creations to life. Kids construct and program LEGO robots to move with motors, react with sensors, and emit sounds. LEGO roots remain at camp; pictures of robots and LEGO creations are sent home after camp.

Ages 10-14
Kids are lead through the full process of creating a video game, including developing characters, rooms, adding backgrounds, music, sound effects, and other great techniques. Kids are provided access to a copy of the GameMaker software and a library of graphics and music files to continue to develop the video games they make in camp and create new ones. Video games produced in camp will be saved on a complimentary USB drive, to play with friends and family on Windows Computers.

Ages 10-14
Kids will learn how to code with a block-based visual programming language inside MinecraftEdu using if-then and while-do statements, variables, and loops. With these tools, they'll automate processes inside the game, such as farming and mining. Redstone will be used to create circuits and switches to control objects. Kids will customize their tools and weapons to rule the world!
